How is Like Christ both an in-person and an online community?

At the center of Like Christ is a burning fire: the desire to know Jesus Christ for ourselves and to do what he taught.

Our fire-circle is centered in time and space – Like Christ McAllen meets around an an actual fire in McAllen, Texas on Saturdays at 7 PM.

But the light and warmth that the Holy Spirit has sparked in us radiates far beyond our little point on the globe. Some members of our community are very far away in body, yet in spirit they are very close to the center of our circle. Others are nearby, but more loosely involved in our community.

It doesn’t matter, because at the center of our circle is the fire.

“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all” (Eph. 4:4-5).

And there is one fire. Wherever you are, whoever you are, you are welcome in our circle, no matter how near or how far away you sit in body or spirit –

As long as you are here for the fire.
